It has Sweeping and Mopping mode, Sweeping-only mode, and Mopping-only mode. According to Xiaomi, it has an electronically controlled water tank with three gears of water dispensing modes and water clogging prevention mechanism.  The robovac has a Japanese brushless motor with a 2,100Pa Suction. It is powered by a 3200mAh battery that can run up to 60 to 130 minutes on a single charge, Xiaomi claims. The device can automatically go to its charging point and resume charging from the breakpoint, if it ever runs out of battery midway.  Further, the Mi Robot Vacuum Cleaner features a Laser Detect System (LDS) system that can identify objects nearby while cleaning the surface. These sensors help in creating a 3D map of the house that allows the robovac to scan the entire flow and deal with complicated surroundings. The new LDS Laser Navigation System works with an upgraded SLAM algorithm for real-time mapping, faster speed, higher accuracy and longer scanning range.   This robot vacuum cleaner is also equipped with 12-set of precision sensors that help in an accurate depiction of the surroundings. It is powered by an anti-collision and an anti-drop sensor that helps in making accurate navigation and crossing obstacles up to 2cm height. After the first cleaning, it can navigate, identify and save the location of each room in the form of a map.  The vacuum cleaner is compatible with the Mi Home app. Connect to the Mi Home app to explore a plethora of options like remote control, real-time mapping, scheduled cleaning, spot cleaning, etc. The user can also create a virtual wall via the app to avoid cleaning restricted areas like carpets or washrooms without having to purchase any additional accessories.   The smart functionality of the device is supported by a quad-core 1.2GHz chipset coupled with a dual-core Mali 400 GPU. It can also scan a surrounding in 360 degrees with an 8-meter range up to six times per second. This robot vacuum cleaner has Wi-Fi 2.4GHz 802.11 b/g/n for connectivity and 33W rated power. It measures 350×94.5mm and weighs 3.6kg. Xiaomi’s Mi Robot Vacuum Mop-P is being sold through its crowdfunding platform at an introductory price of Rs 17,999 (original price Rs 29,999) and also has a no-cost EMI option starting at Rs 2,999 per month. The vacuum cleaner will be available only in black color for now. The company has set a goal of 10,000 units to bring the device to India. This means only when there are 10,000 interested buyers, Xiaomi will start shipping the vacuum cleaner for customers in India from September 15.
