Lenovo A6000 Plus and the Moto E (4G) was released last week. The prices of these phones are as follows: Lenovo A6000 Plus at Rs.7,499, Motorola Moto E (4G) at Rs.7,999 and the new Micromax Canvas Spark at Rs.4,999. Let us have a quick look at the various specifications and the highlights of these low budget smartphones.
Display Screen: Lenovo A6000 Plus has a 5 inch display which is much bigger in comparison to the other two phones. It also has a HD (1280x720p) resolution. Moto E has 4.5 inch display TFT qHD (960x450p) screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 shield. Canvas Spark has 4.7 inch display. The screen resolution is 960x 540 and the Android’s own Material Design provides all the required visual effect. Look of these phones: Lenovo A6000 Plus has a big screen with thin bezels which provides it a compact design. Moto E has a curved design which is easy to hold and has a stocky design which has its own advantage. The Canvas Spark scores point over all these phones in the looks because it has been given a velvet finish on its back panel which gives it a sleek look and a better grip. The most important factor that has been seen in Canvas Spark is that instead of using cheap plastic as the battery cover a velvet finish has been used. Software: Lenovo A6000 Plus runs on the older version of Android 4.4.4 KitKat however it has been packed with some excellent features which overcomes this drawback Moto E was the first phone to be released in the Indian markets which had the Android 5.0 Lollipop version. Canvas Spark runs on the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop version. Processor, RAM, storage and connectivity: Lenovo A6000 Plus runs on a new generation 64-bit class based Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 series quad-core SoC (System on Chip). The 4G LTE modem enables faster download speed which is almost 150 mbps speed with an upload speed up to 50 mbps. Further, this has 16GB inbuilt memory along with a memory card slot, one more additional advantage is that the device is backed by 2GB RAM. Moto E runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core 1.2 GHz processor. It has 4G LTE along with 8 GB internal memory that is expandable up to 32 GB. The device is backed by 1 GB RAM. The Canvas Spark runs on a MediaTek MT6582 quad-core 1.3 GHz processor, the design assists in the basic use of the affordable smartphones, however it also aids in the day to day online tasks like web browsing, social networking and playing the videos. The Canvas Spark lacks 4G LTE. It has 8 GB internal memory, expandable up to 32 GB. The device is backed by 1 GB RAM. Battery capacity: Lenovo A6000 Plus has a 2,300 mAh battery. Moto E has a 2,390 mAh battery. On the contrary Canvas Spark has a 2,000 mAh battery which though might be sufficient for normal requirement however in comparison to the other affordable phones Canvas Spark looses its score. Camera: Lenovo A6000 Plus has a 8 megapixel rear camera. Moto E has a 5.0-megapixel rear camera with no LED flash support and a VGA (0.3 mp) camera on the front. Though Moto E is not as good as the other two phones in low lights however it has some appreciable feature that is the Quick Capture feature wherein the camera can be activated just by flipping the device twice horizontally and it gives good results if used during bright day light. Canvas Spark has a 8-megapixel rear camera.
